As grustle (grind + hustle) season comes to an end, Real G's across the world begin the search for the perfect summer fling, a time of year known only as "cuffin' season": when the winter's hard work pays off in the form of one-night-stands, drink rounds, Groupon trips, and gifts for side-bae.
If ever I had to pick an album that embodies the entire spirit of this bittersweet time of year, I would pick local rapper Howie Stackz' album Catfish Aquarium. Released late last year, Catfish Aquarium "details the life of a Howie Stackz post college his sentiments on personal loss, and the irony of existence in America." Considering it was released post cuffin' season 2014, I can understand his frequent use of catcall/pick-up scenarios in his lyrics.
